Taking that extra mile
Sigh.

I just spend my entire morning (8 AM - 1 PM) working on a measly 4 second shot. I had to rebuild the Mayor in a three quarter angle after fiddling with the frontal one for over an hour, it just didn't feel right.









And go here to see the animated fruits of my labour.



Now that I actually rebuild him I'm glad that I did. Not only does it feels better, it's also a pretty important shot to convey the general giddiness of the Mayor and his enthusiasm for Marin's building. Sometimes I just have to make that extra mile to get as close to the storyboard as possible.

Alright, I better head off to Culemborg now!

You're right (of course you are XD), the second one is much better. In the first shot his head looks flat and out of proportion with his body. ^^

The second one is much better, yes. Because in the first shot it also looks a bit like he puts his ear to the building as if some sound was coming out of there ;).
